This second reservoir at the Devil Canyon Power Plant was completed in 1995. Several different underground piping systems start here, including the 28 mile long Santa Ana pipeline which terminates at Lake Perris. The spot was later decided to be the starting point of the 44-mile Inland Feeder water delivery system, designed and operated by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and completed in 2010. Water is piped down the mountain from Silverwood Lake to this reservoir in the Verdemont Heights area of north San Bernardino, and then into the underground Arrowhead West and Arrowhead East pipelines into Highland and Redlands. These pipelines are met by the Riverside Badlands pipeline which flows south to Diamond Valley Lake in Hemet, Southern California's largest reservoir, designed to provide all of Southern California with a high-quality emergency drinking water supply. With it’s completion, 444 miles from Bethany Reservoir to Lake Peris the California Aqueduct is the longest water conveyance system in the world. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inland_Feeder
