The survivors have recouped, due largely to voluntary organizations and governmental efforts.People

  • During Kakatiya period Ganapati Deva invaded Divi Country..Divi lord Ayya pinnichoda,who was a feudatory of king Phrithviswara of Velanati Chola dynasty,fought valiantly & defended Divi Fort.But ultimately he was defeated.Impressed by his valour Ganapati sought matrimonial alliance with Pinnichoda & married his 2 daughters Narama & Perama,and made his son Jayappa his Gaja Sahani.Jayappa wrote the famous Nritta Ratnavali a master treatise on Marga &Desi Natyas
