This four mill was built in the 1930s by Georgy Dinev Bougartchev, a Bulgarian emigrant from Doiran in Macedonia, and his sons. It had a daily capacity of over 200 tonnes of flour. It sustained damage from American & British aerial bombardment in World War II, was repaired in Communist times -- and for that reason was not approved for restitution after the fall of Communism. It was instead sold by the state to Greek interests along with the neighboring newer mills to form the Sofia Mel complex.
