Honeywell used to produce textile fibers for a variety of industries and applications including automotive headliner and solution dyed yarn for woven contract upholstery at this plant. Fine denier, high filament nylon and micro denier nylon yarns for electrometric fabrics were produced for the apparel industry.

However, in August 2007 Honeywell Int'l tried to do a deal with Shaw Industries Inc., a major US carpet manufacturer, for the purchase of this plant but the economics of the operation at this particular site did not work out and instead this plant is now closed and up for sale.
