The Newberry South Carolina plant was constructed in 1966 by Ocoma, a subsidiary of Consolidated Foods (Sara Lee). In 1972 the plant was purchased by Louis Rich. Since 1972 this turkey processing facility has undergone steady growth and expansion adding boning, trimming, processing, cooking, and packaging operations.

The plant encompasses approximately 280,800 square feet situated on 51 acres and is capable of processing 12,000 birds per day and approximately 400,000 pounds of finished product. Newberry produces Oven Roasted Breast, Turkey Bacon, Ground Turkey, and a variety of sliced luncheon meats (Bologna, Ham, Salami, Oven Roasted Breast and Chicken).
