Czech cemetery (which is already 130 years old). Arrival of Czech colonists in Zhytomyr was driven by the decree of Alexander II in 1873, in which they were given great benefits. In the village Kroshnya (now a district of Zhytomyr) In 1878, 52 families came to Czech immigrants. Czechs brought high culture of agriculture, technology, hop growing and brewing. Among them were many highly skilled craftsmen carpenters, plumbers, blacksmiths, masons. The whole neighborhood was known stonemason Vaclav Dlouhy, butcher Joseph Gromadetsky, hop growers and social activist Vaclav Mali, the owner of the brick factory, Joseph Buben. But the greatest memory of him left unmatched brewers: Osip Machacek, Bogdan Jans, Ignatius Albrecht Vaclav Krupichka, Vaclav Michalek. In memory of the first settlers, the Czechs to have a street Kroshne Vyacheslav Mali (he was the initiator of the development of hop on Kroshne), lane Albrecht (Albrecht built on Kroshne famous brewery). All of them are buried in this cemetery.
