  I was a student of this prestigeous schoolfrom 1972 to 1977.Iam very proud of my school.A pool of talented and dedicated teachers like N.S MANIsir,kalleli raghavan pillai sir,kammath sir,lakshmi teacher,I.T CHACKO sir,unni sir,have done a great role in making it into a model school.still remembering the golden period of my life,playing foot ball,basketball and practicing in the beautiful ground for the interschool competition.my father was also a student of this schoolbut unfortunatly i could not send my daughter to this school.iam presently working as superintending engineer in coalIndia .

  Sanatana Dharma Vidyasala, to give the full name of the school. was where I was educated for six years from 1936 to 1941. Sri Manjeri Ramakrishna Iyer was the Headmaster, and he led a team of some of the best teachers anybody could ever have: men like Sri Chakko, Sri Krisna varrier,Sri Chellapn Pillai, Sri Harihara Iyer, Sri Ramanatha Iyer(A kind man who taught me mathaematics),Sri Gopalan Nair (who was great English teacher), Sri Thanu Iyer, the Sri Viswanatha Iyers( chinna and periya) and the famed Sri Baliga Sir. Those were the best years of my education and when I moved to Chalakudi, I always thought of Alleppey as my starting point. The yearly celebrations took place at the Annie Besant Hall;( now known as Venkat they were just glorious occasions to take part. In the very near future I would like to make a personal visit to pay my respects to an institution and its teachers who have done such great service to its alumnii.
