RAF Wittering

RAF Wittering is a Royal Air Force station near Stamford, Lincolnshire. Although known as the 'Home of the Harrier', Wittering is currently home only to 20 Sqn, the Operational Conversion Unit flying the British Aerospace Harrier GR7/GR9 & T.10 aircraft. RAF Wittering has also been the home of Four Counties Gliding Club since 2005.

  • The Harrier ceased being a Hawker-Siddely aircraft as the GR3...the GR5/7/9 and T10 models plus the AV8A/B/C models are Boeing/BAe Systems aircraft.
