Goczałkowice Reservoir (Polish: Jezioro Goczałkowickie, also: Zbiornik Goczałkowicki) - the reservoir was built in 1955 on the Vistula river. The area is 32 square kilometres and its capacity is 168 million m³. It's the biggest water reservoir in the southern Poland and is still used as a source of drinking water. According to this it's strictly protected area and there are no swimming, sailing and other recreating activities allowed. The best parts of this reservoir suitable for birds are its western and southern sides. Goczalkowice Reservoir is the most important place for birds in Upper Vistula Valley.
