Up until the mid-1990's this was a thriving mall that served Lincolnwood and nearby Chicago. This mall now struggles against a revitalized Old Orchard, which captured some of its customer base in the late 1990's, as well as new strip malls, and all in one big-boxes such as Target, that were not around when it was first built. Although only a few blocks from Chicago and residential Lincolnwood, the lack of sidewalks and a busy Touhy/McCormick Blvd intersection make walking for area residents a challenge.
