Established in 2 February in 1987 according to Decree #61 of Armenian SSR Council of Ministers. Occupied area – 219.85ha. Departmental subordination – the Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia. «Reserve Park Complex» SNCO. Location – Central Armenia, Armavir Marz, semi-desert areas of Ararat Valley. 835- 850 m above sea level. Protected object – Ararat cochineal and typical semidesert vegetation, unique plant association.
