Ormrod Quarry and Hot Mix Asphalt Plant

Eastern Industries, Inc., Ormrod quarry and Hot Mix Asphalt plant are approx. 5 miles north of Allentown in North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County on Quarry Street, 1 mile southwest of the intersection of Routes 145 and 329. The quarry and hot mix asphalt plant serve Lehigh, Carbon, Northampton, Berks and upper Bucks Counties with quality-crushed stone and bituminous products. Both plants offer on-site delivery or convenient plant pick-up of materials. The Ormrod quarry, which began operations in 1972, is a limestone/dolomite deposit, that is both Penn DOT and New Jersey DOT approved, Type 'A' stone with a SRL rating of 'M'.

The quarry provides a wide range of crushed stone products from washed limestone sand and ¼” anti - skid materials to gabion and rip rap stone for commercial, residential, private and public construction projects. Customers include various types of contractors; ready mix concrete, hot mix asphalt and masonry concrete plants, as well as State and local Municipal governments.
