Această clădire a fost ridicată din ordinul ("la indicăţiile preţioase") lui Nicolae Ceauşescu în perioada 1983 - 1989, cu scopul de a adăposti Muzeul Naţional, o instituţie care să comaseze toate muzeele din Bucureşti.

What's going to happen with it? Why demolish it? Is everything that's done in Bucharest just irrational? How the bloody h311 can you destroy a gorgeous building like this!?! Demolish your crappy factories and "blocuri", dont' throw away a grand majestic monument to architecture!
