  Some years ago early one Saturday morning, I was at the coffee shop across the street from the jail. A man in his early twenties with a long look on his face was getting a cup. He turned to me, "How do you get in the jail?" I replied, "Most people want to know how to get out, not in. What do you mean?" It turned out he was sentenced to spend a couple of week-ends in jail for some minor offence, and he was there for the first day. "Oh," I said, "It's easy, go over there and knock on the door. A fat guy in a funny suit will answer. Just tell him you want to go to jail and he will let you in. If he dosen't, punch him in the mouth."
