Ayyankulam is a small pond situated adjacent to Shakthi Ganapathy temple which is used by people in and around south village to take bath. The water is green in colour due to collection of moss. In rainy season one can see water snakes swimming in the pond trying hard to get a lunch of small frogs which also make this pond their home. Many of us have learned our swimming in this pond which used to be a favourite spot to practice diving and improving one's swimming skills. There are segregated areas around the pond for men and women to provide a modicum of privacy while bathing.
