Tell Jemaah (Arabic: تل جمعة), also known as Halmoun (هلمون), is a village near Tell Tamer in western al-Hasakah Governorate, northeastern Syria. Administratively it belongs to the Nahiya Tell Tamer. The village is inhabited by Assyrians belonging to the Assyrian Church of the East. At the 2004 census, it had a population of 1,260. According to some estimates, up to 3 thousand people lived in the village at the beginning of the Syrian civil war. Most of the village’s residents left the country after repeated attacks on the area since the beginning of the war - only about 40 people remain in the village by 2020.
