Built in 1899. The building was two stories. On the ground floor were stores, and on the second - music classes Zhytomyr artistic community and a wonderful auditorium. In this hall he gave concerts Feodor Chaliapin.
Before the war, on the first floor it was a department store, and the second Soviet institutions.
During the liberation of Zhitomir building was damaged by fire.
In 1959, the architect SM Engelmann was built on the third floor and the building reconstructed under the city council.
