211th Engineering Installation Squadron
As part of the Air National Guard and the US Air Force, the 211th Engineering Installation Squadron plays a vital role in the accomplishment of all modern battlefield missions. Whether it is as simple as using a telephone or as complex as landing aircraft on foggy runways, we all rely heavily on communications. The 211th's vital role is communications.
The 211th is a readily deployable unit with the world-wide mission of designing, installing, and maintaining state-of-the-art telecommunication systems and equipment. Without these systems, the Air Force would not be able to perform its numerous missions, and all of its telephones, televisions (CCTV, Warrior Network, for example), computers, and aircraft would be of little use.Since its inception in 1953, the 211th has provided superior communications products and services to all branches of the military and numerous government agencies. From the Pentagon to Germany, and the Philippine Islands to Greenland, the 211th has accomplished many projects around the globe.
