Mathiura Bazar is one of the oldest and biggest bazar of Beani Bazar Upo-zilla, Sylhet .Previously it was called as Raza Bazar (Raza=Famous). That time (before India divided) this area has two Bazar one called Babu Bazar and another called Raza Bazar. Babu Bazar was founded by Hindus land lord and Raza Bazar (Mathiura Bazar) was founded by all Muslim;s in Mathiura areas.. The time of British India Mathiura Bazar was a better place for trading in this locality. So it also called as Better Bazar. Till now it is much known as Better Bazar. After established Beani Bazar as a Thana and Bazar then Babu Bazar replaced with Beani Bazar so now no more exist Babu Bazar as a Bazar. Mathiura Bazar till now exists but it’s lost it impotent because present days every thing is centralized in Beani Bazar. Babu Bazar and Raza Bazar are now part of history.
