The cornerstone for this "Princeton of the West" was laid in 1891. The "castle" was named Westminster University and began holding classes in 1908. The City of Harris changed it's name and voted to incorporate as the City of Westminster in 1911 was taking their name in honor of this building. The school was sold to Pillar of Fire Church in 1920 which renamed it to Belleview College in 1925.
