As a Supply Regiment, it controls the issue and accounting for all the 750,000 items of equipment the Army uses. Its main effort is to train soldiers for operations where they work alongside soldiers from Regular Army regiments with which it has a strong working relationships.

Within each of its Squadrons, after initial basic soldier training additional training is given in the trade skills necessary to specialise and become a Logistic Specialist (Supply). As Part of 159 Supply Regiment (Volunteers) The Royal Logistic Corps, the role involves supplying and controlling ammunition, water, food, fuel and other combat supplies – and making sure they get to exactly where they’re needed.
