Taman Bukit Maluri is a matured estate within the developed township of Kepong. It is a slightly smaller community compared to nearby neighborhood. It consists of terrace houses, shop-offices, and factory lots. The community is a matured estate with a high percentage of Chinese population (80% Chinese, 13% Malay, 6% Indian and 1% of other minorities) according to 2010 census. The area also has many amenities to serve the residents living there such as school and playground. Currently (as of 2010), a built-up house with size over 5,000 sf may cost about RM500,000 to RM800,000, while rental for housing units are rented out at an average of RM1,000 per month.

Property value within the area has increased substantially over the years partly also due to surrounding new townships, thus the demand for housing has spilled over to neighboring estates.
