The Carol Vance Unit (previously the Harlem II Unit and the Jester II Unit) is a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) men's prison located in unincorporated central Fort Bend County along State Highway 99, 4 miles east of Richmond. The unit, with about 940 acres of land, is co-located with Jester I Unit, Jester III Unit, and Jester IV Unit.

The facility first opened in 1885 as the Harlem II Unit, and was later re-named the Jester II Unit in honor of former Governor Beauford H. Jester.

In 1999, the Jester II Unit was officially re-named the Carol Vance Unit, in honor of a former Harris County District Attorney who was instrumental in implementing the first Christian faith-based prison program there.
