The building located in Poiana Narciselor nr. 7 belonged to Professor Dragomir HURMUZESCU - founder of the Romanian radio broadcasting service. In august 1944 it was partialy destroyed by the bombings by the german aviation. It was confiscated ("nationalized") by the communist regime in 1950. The building was inhabited by employees from the "securitate". After the change of regime in 1989, the building was partially returned in the property of the descendants of Dragomir Hurmuzescu. Tne main entrance doors have a fer-forge decoration bearing the D & H initials (from the original owner, professor Dragomir Hurmuzescu). For more information email: open.force@yahoo.com. |
