Home of the Warriors. Built in the mid 1950s, it is an almost mirror image of its counterpart on the west side of the Mississippi River, West Jefferson High School built at the same time. Over the years the two schools developed a nautural and fierce rivalry for domination of their district, parish and city. Until changing demographics sapped enrollment the schools were once multi-sport powerhouses. Many of Jefferson Parish's best and brightest were educated and trained in these two public schools.
