First five-star hotel in Bath, also the only one in Britain to have access to The Spa Village natural thermal waters. Named after the artist Thomas Gainsborough, who lived in the city in 18th century. This grade II. listed building complex was built 1820 by John Pinch and his son as a United Hospital, with additions by Manners and Gill who rebuilt this aeal for Bath Technical College later.
The Gainsborough Bath Spa hotel was opened 1st July 2015 and offers 99 luxury rooms and suites plus restaurant and bar.
