The Mississippi State Penitentiary

Largest, and perhaps most infamous, of Mississippi's prisons. Begun in 1903, Parchman is famous for being a working farm. It's known as the "Prison without walls," as there are no perimeter fences around the 23,000 acre facility. Only the individual units (called camps) are fenced.
