Built in 1948 as Mutual Don Lee Radio and Television Studio. It has been the home of KHJ radio station, Los Angeles Channel 2 (first KNXT and now KCBS) through the 50s, as well as KHJ TV. From 1964-1971 it was the home of KCET, the Los Angeles public broadcasting station. In the 80s it was an ABC studio including the headquarters for for the 1984 Olympics broadcast.
Part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, it houses the Academy Film Archive and the Science and Technology Council, and the 286 seat Dunn Theater.
