  • That's good for you! Yay!
  • I would like to know more about this house, specifically if tours are available. I drive by it every day, and it is such a beautiful example of early 20th Century architecture. I love the brick work, and the porch columns. I would love to go inside someday.
  • The Segerstrom House is not open to the public. It still belongs to the Segerstrom family and is has not been preserved as a historic dwelling. As recently as 5 years ago, the Segerstroms came from their respective work places to eat lunch together at the house every weekday. CJ Segerstrom and Sons gives short but fascinating tours of the farm, although you will not enter the house or barn. These tours are available one day a year, usually between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I found out about the tours by checking the website of the Costa Mesa Historical Society. I believe the house was constructed in 1915 and the barn in 1908. The fields still produce lima beans, though they are not profitable. The Segerstroms continue to farm this small bit of land because it is a connection to their family's past.
