Once this fortification was part of the WW2 Maginot line. Currently it is airbase 901 Command & Reporting Center (CDC) 05.901 Drachenbronn. It is located near the town of Birlenbach and uses the radio tacticall “Riesling radar".
This unit is also the French SAR coordination center.
