The wooden church was first built on the bank of the River Yorga, the North Dvina’s right bank in 1685. The church was rebuilt several times. Monument of wooden architecture of the 17th century. The exterior changed during the reconstruction at the end of the 19th century, however the main layout and spaces of the 17th century were preserved. At the turn of the 1920s and 1930s the church was submitted to a local selsovet (village council) which used the building as a warehouse and a club. The altar and the churchware are lost. In 2003, Ilya Glazunov (Soviet and Russian artist) initiated deconstruction and transportation of the church to Kolomensky Park. 2009—2011 saw the construction and restoration of the church using technologies of the end of the 17th century at the new location: in the Zhuzha river valley near wooden architecture monuments in Kolomensky Park.
