The Grammeni Oxia is a mountainous village Aitoloakarnania. It is built at an altitude of 1,130 meters on the northwestern slopes of Vardousia is one of the most mountainous villages Etoloakarnania.
The oldest name of the village was Sitista , probably because of cereals in the region. Oxia (Beech) named due to the large coverage area of beech and is the southernmost point of Europe with such vegetation [2].
Belongs to the Apodotia municipality and its population according to the 2001 census is 138 residents.
On 23 September 1828, in Ripa took place the battle uf Grammeni Oxia, where the Turkish army was defeated by the Greeks.
