In 1954, the Selangor Sikh Union was given this land by the Government for recreational purposes. This land was then an old abandoned mining area, undeveloped, nothing more than a swamp. A huge pit more than fifteen feet deep stood right in the middle of the field. Then in early 1960's the Government started to improve the surrounding area, and the earth that was excavated from the surrounding construction sites were dumped here. After dumping four thousand lorry loads of earth, the ground was finally leveled. Later, a club house was built here. The club opened its door on 1st August 1974.
