About the North Fork Lodge

The beautiful North Fork Lodge was built in 1924 and is located in the center of approximately 9,000 acres of mountainous woodlands in Pennsylvania. The name “North Fork” signifies the North Fork watershed of West Creek, a stream that pours into the Susquehanna River.

The Lodge sleeps 30 guests in four upstairs bedrooms with a bar area, television room and spacious, cathedral ceiling-ed living room downstairs. North Fork has also designed a manager’s quarters, housing the dining and conference rooms; Midway Lodge, an overflow facility which sleeps six and is located one mile south of the main lodge; the Bell Hollow Lodge, residence of the gatekeeper; a Swiss-style ski chalet and a trap skeet range. The dining room, built in 1964, seats 50 guests and offers excellent cuisine and warm hospitality.

During a stay at the Lodge, guests are offered several opportunities to enjoy the woodlands. The deer hunt is always guaranteed to be a huge success. The white-tail presents an exciting challenge and trophy-sized antlers for mounting. The North Fork Creek is an exceptional trout stream in which both native and stocked trout provide the amateur and the experienced angler with enjoyable hours of fly and bait fishing.

A ski slope with a rope lift provides a variety of winter activities including downhill skiing and tubing. Other outdoor activities available include volleyball, a golf driving range, horseshoe pitching, cross country skiing and ice skating.

In addition to the ever present white-tailed deer at North Fork, a variety of other wild animals can often been seen including turkeys, squirrels, black bears, riffed grouse and many species of birds.

With so many things to do and see, the North Fork Lodge is absolutely a must see for anyone who enjoys the outdoors and all they have to offer.
