Ancient Site of Sanjan (Medieval Occupation) (Sanjan)

This is the rough boundary of the site of ancient Sanjan, which was purported to have been built by the Parsis (Zoroastrian religious migrants form Iran) in approx the end of the 8th - early 9th century AD.
Excavations were carried out here in 2002, 2003 & 2004 by SP Gupta and Kurush F Dalal with aid from the ICHR, ASI and the Dorab Tata Trust.
