So named as it was a haunt of journalists and newspaper workers from the adjacent Herald/Evening Times complex. It has survived two attempts by its neighbours to be taken over and flattened (firstly by the Herald/Times printing press building constructed in the late 1980s, then again with the Headline Building in the mid 2000s) - which is why it stands rather akwardly next to the new structures.
