A Strathclyde University institution that ironically has nothing to do with the Uni whatsoever, but a popular newsagent/deli for filled rolls and infinitely better than the utterly horrible Uni-run café in the Livvy Tower directly above. At lunchtime the queue of students and lecturers usually ends out in George Street.

OK – it isn’t called Jamiesons anymore….as brothers Laurence and John finally sold up in 2007, but the girls on the sandwich counter are still there. And the rolls are still as good.
