The center of operations for FEMA recovery in the gulf region. Its called the JFO (joint field office). There are about 1200 employees from every county (parish), state, and federal agency you could imagine. They are all working together to clean up the region and strategically prepare for the future. President Bush and many other officials have visited this building.

Part of it (west part) is housed in the old Goudchaux's building, a local department store, later rebranded as Maison Blanche. The company was later purchased by Dillard's, who closed it.
