Suramadu Bridge

The site for Suramadu Bridge. Suramadu, taken from the words Surabaya and Madura, will connect the island of Java and Madura. The purpose is to facilitate land transportation between the two islands. The current transportation method is by way of ferry. The main span of the bridge was connected on March 31, 2009, and the bridge is scheduled to be completed in June 2009.
