Official Designation of Sawarpani Dam Irrigation Project is " Sawarpani Dam , D - 04789 " . However local and popular name is " Sawarpani Lake / Sawarpani Talav ". ( Also spelt as " Savarpani".) . Sawarpani Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1970. It is built on and impounds a local Nallah .
