The most beautiful and pleasant of the Chuuk State, FSM islands. The freshwater lake on the island is wintering ground for a species of duck appearently migrating from Asia. People here are wonderfully friendly and cordial. The vegetation here is lush and the breadfruit trees are enormous.

  • Yes! You are right. But you have to come and witness what is happening inside (inland). The Houkese women today are worried because the main food crop, taro, is becoming bad. When uprooted, half of the taro is gone. Why? It shows that we are really experiencing island sinking; thus, salt water moving inland (from underneath the ground). So it's a big problem. While you're enjoying living in air-conditioned home and eating steaks, we're worried sick as to what we're going to do here on island. Should we migrate to the US? Help us!
  • Not anymore. There's so much bad things happening that I'm sure you're all aware of. While you're living out there we're struggling with the problems amongst ourselves. Pls. come back here already; all of you. So that you can help us rebuild the old Houk
  • jabo I'll be there soon and I'm bring some suger for the crop
