well , from Yap My friend and I flew there on invitation to set up a solar powered irrigation system. We stayed at the Tarugumal health center for about 7 days while we did our work.1997 was the year, those people on that island were just lovely! As far as I know , the systems that Denis and I set up are still working. I went to Fais in Jan-Feb of 2001. I went there to train and oversee the installation of a 3 KW ground mounted PV system which was to provide power to the computers in the school.
At the time, I pulled the small DC Sureflow pump from the well as it was not
working. I replaced it with the spare, I assume that is what it was, it was tucked away on a shelf in the "medical" center. We had water from that well the whole time that I was there.
I agree, the people were really really friendly. I cried when I had to leave. I was there for 32 days and made some friends. Wonderfull experience.
