Central Post Hall (Varna)

Bulgaria / Varna / Varna / Saborni Boulevard, 42
post office, listed building / architectural heritage, 1935_construction, Modern (architecture)

The building was built during the period 1930-1935 by a project of architect Angel Momov. The interior solutions and details are the work of the sculptor of Ukrainian-Polish origin Mikhail Paraschuk, a student of Auguste Rodin. The establishment takes place on November 17, 1935. In 1967 the post office was upgraded. Since then, the inscription above the windows "Mail - Telegraph - Telephone" has been added. Unfortunately, during repairs operations, almost all of the unique interior decoration of plaster bas-reliefs has been removed with the argument that it bears the symbolism of monarchical power.
