Shibuya Station Crossing (Tokyo)

Also known is "The Scramble", this is the world's busiest street crossing. The location is also famous for having the highest density of cellphones anywhere on Earth. Cars drive through the busy intersection, but once the light turns green, pedestrians from every direction scramble across madly until the light goes red again.

  • Also known more famously as "Shibuya Crossing" named after the station that resides in the area. Also Starbuck's first store was at this crossing and there was a 2 hour wait to get coffee the first day it opened. The only starbucks store to have only 3 items on the menu.
  • A must see. I recommend going to the Starbucks, second story, and watching the crossing - best view of it, in my opinion - insane amount of people. (And contrary to the other post, this Starbucks has a pretty normal menu now - perhaps they had only three when they first opened?)
  • This is the most futuristic view of Japan as it should. Technically, it's ust like Times Square, except it exhumes a vibe of techno-isms and superlatives of cyberpunk aesthetic. I love it. It is a grand complement to the many Robots, Machines, Spacecraft and Cybercars of Japan. I love it. Did I just say I love it?
