golf course, place with historical importance, NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, historic district, golf club
The Hartford Golf Club was founded in 1896, and has one of the finest golf courses in Connecticut. The golf club is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as a historic district for its architectural and landscape significance. Included in this historic district are over one hundred homes that border the club to the east, west and south. These are almost exclusively single family residences rendered in the Colonial Revival and Tudor Revival styles that date mostly to between 1915 and 1936. For practicality and visibility reasons, the polygon does not include these homes.
