This 8-story building was constructed in 1896 for Irish-born woolens merchant James A. McNally. David Forbes, a more recent Irish immigrant, bought the building in October 2009 with the intent of converting its upper office floors into upscale short-term rental apartments. The ground-floor tenant is (or was) the Long Ash Club cigar bar, which may have gone out of business.
