"Deanlea" (Lattingtown, New York)

Residence built c. 1868 in the Georgian style for an unknown owner. It was later purchased or inherited by Herbert Hollingshead Dean {financier}. Dean served as a partner in the Edward B. Smith investment firm and was a member of New York Stock Exchange and Equitable Life Assurance Society. He commissioned alterations by Howard Major in the 1920s to the home.
