The Bergvik Industrial Museum is sited in a former sulphite factory, near the centre of the small town. When it was established in 1874, this was the only such facility in the world. The museum contains lots of original equipment and artefacts connected with the factory. There are also exhibitions on other industries that developed around this time in the region.
