A venue for the Arts, built in 1918-1920 by renowned theatre architect C. Howard Crane, who also designed the State (now the Filmore Detroit) and Fox Theaters in Detroit.
Originally a vaudeville theatre, it was converted to showing films in 1930 as the Tivoli Theater and closed in 1963. Afterwards, it continued on as a bingo hall, before briefly becoming a gay nightclub called Life (2000-2004), before sitting vacant for many years. It would be renovated in 2014 and has come full circle as an performing arts centre once again.
