  • Former Reynolds Metals Aluminum Plant. (Prior to Alcoa.) My father worked for Reynolds Metals for many years at this location. One day he came home with a bit of information for me. He had been talking with one of the electrical engineers. The engineer said, that at a certain point, the smelting "pots" would be running on only 4 volts... at 65,000 Amps.
  • I have an aluminum cup (or atine) that belonged to my father who worked there for 30 years until retiring on a medical disability. It is engraved saying "Troutdale Plant 1974 Record Production" on one side other side says "Reynolds ALuminum". Does anyone know what this cup was for. My father passed away in 1986. Thank you
